Where to Try Miss Scarlett in Australia

Where to Try Miss Scarlett in Australia

Miss Scarlett is a stockist label. The gowns are made to order through boutiques rather than sold direct, which means the honest answer to "where can I try one" is a list of specific shops rather than a marketing page.

There are eight in Australia. Here they are, and here is what to do if none of them is close.

The stockists, by state

Western Australia

Oxford Bridal — Leederville, Perth. The only Western Australian boutique carrying the collection, which makes it the point of call for the whole state. Leederville is a few minutes out of the Perth CBD and the strip has several bridal boutiques on it, so it is realistic to build a day around one visit. Queensland

White Atelier Bridal — Brisbane. The Queensland stockist, and the practical option for anyone in South East Queensland or northern New South Wales. See designer wedding dresses in Brisbane.

South Australia

Forever You Bridal — Adelaide.

Barossa Bridal — Nuriootpa. Worth knowing if you are planning a wine-country wedding, since it is in the middle of the region — see wedding dresses for a Barossa Valley wedding.

New South Wales

Newcastle Bridal House — Newcastle. The only NSW boutique, which makes it the closest option for Sydney brides as well as the Hunter. Covered in designer wedding dresses in Newcastle.

Victoria

Fifi & Edga Bridal — Bendigo.

Amante Bridal — Warragul, in West Gippsland.

Both are regional rather than metropolitan, which we deal with honestly in designer wedding dresses near Melbourne.

Tasmania

Timeless Elegance Bridal — Launceston. The state's only stockist; see designer wedding dresses in Launceston.

The current list, with addresses and contact details, is always on find a stockist — that page is maintained, and this one is a snapshot.

Where there is no stockist yet

Being straightforward about this is more useful than pretending otherwise.

Sydney has no Miss Scarlett boutique. Newcastle Bridal House is about two hours north.

Melbourne has none within the metropolitan area. Warragul is around ninety minutes east; Bendigo is around two hours north-west.

Canberra, Darwin, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville and most regional centres have none nearby.

If that describes you, what to do when no stockist is near you is the piece to read — the short version is that trunk shows travel, and a planned single trip is usually a better use of a day than four local appointments looking at gowns you don't want.

Trunk shows change the map

A trunk show brings a larger portion of the collection into a boutique for a limited window, often including gowns that boutique does not normally hold. They also occasionally run at boutiques that are not permanent stockists.

If you are not near a stockist, this is the mechanism that matters most to you. The live schedule is on trunk shows, and what is a bridal trunk show explains how they work.

Before you book

Two things worth doing, because they save wasted trips:

Ask which gowns the boutique currently has. No boutique carries every gown from every collection. If you have your eye on something specific from Palais or Lumière, call and check it is in their sample range before you drive two hours.

Ask what sample sizes they hold. Samples are a fixed size and clipped to fit for appointments. Knowing what you will be trying on sets expectations.

What happens next

If you find the gown, the boutique places a made-to-order request and takes your measurements. Timelines vary by boutique and by season, so ask directly rather than working from a number you read online — including this one. How to buy a designer wedding dress covers the process end to end, and wedding dress fittings and alterations covers what happens once it arrives.

To see the full collection before you book, start with all collections. To have us point you to the nearest boutique, book an appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I try Miss Scarlett wedding dresses in Australia?

Eight Australian boutiques carry the collection: Oxford Bridal in Leederville (Perth), White Atelier Bridal in Brisbane, Forever You Bridal in Adelaide, Barossa Bridal in Nuriootpa, Newcastle Bridal House in Newcastle, Timeless Elegance Bridal in Launceston, Fifi & Edga Bridal in Bendigo, and Amante Bridal in Warragul.

Is there a Miss Scarlett stockist in Sydney or Melbourne?

Not currently. The closest boutique to Sydney is Newcastle Bridal House, around two hours north. The closest to Melbourne are Amante Bridal in Warragul and Fifi & Edga Bridal in Bendigo, both roughly one and a half to two hours out of the city.

Can I buy a Miss Scarlett gown online?

No. The gowns are made to order through stockist boutiques rather than sold direct. Fit is the substance of the product, particularly on the more minimal designs, so the gowns are only sold where they can be fitted properly.

Which stockist should I book with if two are equally close?

Call both and ask which Miss Scarlett gowns each currently has in the sample range. Boutiques carry different selections from the collections, so the deciding factor is usually which one has the specific gowns you want to try on.
