About the Modern Muse collection
Modern Muse is the most contemporary end of the range: architectural, a little more fashion-led, and less traditionally bridal in what it refers to. It is the collection for a bride who is not looking for a wedding dress in the conventional sense — a gallery, a rooftop, a registry office, or a second look later in the day.
Taleen shows how it thinks. A strapless bodice with sculptural draping carries a detachable voluminous train for the ceremony; take the train off and the same gown is a sheath. Thea and Tove are cut in mikado, a fabric that holds a line — Thea into an off-the-shoulder bodice and a grand train, Tove as a two-piece with a lace-up back and a form-fitting skirt.
The other half of Modern Muse is lace, worked flat and modern rather than romantic: Tatum, Tegan, Tessa, Tiana, Tilly, Tory and Tallulah. Tegan and Tessa each have matching detachable sleeves cut from their own fabric, so the ceremony and the reception are the same gown rather than two.
